Before teaching fifth grade, Al Dorsch taught middle and high school grades, as well as serving as an assistant principal. This experience gives him multiple perspectives on the challenges of teaching about climate change. Dorsch has won numerous awards for his teaching. He has also played rugby and has been a youth rugby coach.
